CVUSD Board of Education Appoints Principal of Redwood High School
Castro Valley, CA – (March 30, 2021) – At tonight’s special board meeting, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education took action to select Kenneth Kahn Jr. for the position of Principal of Redwood High School. Mr. Kahn is replacing Ms. Erica Ehmann who is resigning from the position on June 30, 2021.

Castro Valley Unified School District Appoints Assistant Principal of Castro Valley Adult & Career Education
Castro Valley, CA – (March 25, 2021) – At last night's board meeting, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education took action to select Meighen Eberly for the position of Assistant Principal of Castro Valley Adult and Career Education (CVACE). Ms. Eberly is replacing Ms. Sharon Travers who is retiring from the position on June 30, 2021.
Canyon Middle School Receives 2021 California Distinguished Schools Award
State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tony Thurmond, has announced that over 100 middle and high schools in California are being honored under the 2021 California Distinguished Schools Program.
Student COVID Testing Available Starting Thursday, March 4th
As we move towards in-person instruction in Castro Valley Unified schools, our goal is to create a safe environment for our students and staff. CVUSD began testing staff in December 2020 and is now ready to begin testing students. At this point, COVID-19 testing is voluntary. Your participation in this process, however, will help prevent the direct threat of a COVID-19 spread throughout our schools and community.

Castro Valley, CA – (January 28, 2021) – At last night’s board meeting, the Castro Valley Unified School District Board of Education unanimously appointed Mrs. Charity Hastings to the position of Director of Purchasing & Warehouse. Mrs. Hastings will be responsible for the oversight of the purchasing, distribution, and contractual procedures and practices of the District.
