Hello Current 8th Graders/Rising 9th Graders and Families,
Castro Valley High School Counselors are reviewing 8th grade course requests for the 2025-2026 school year. If your student is interested in enrolling in the Castro Valley Virtual Academy for the 2025-2026 school year, please continue reading the information below.
Castro Valley Virtual Academy (CVVA) is a high school option in the Castro Valley Unified School District. CVVA is fully WASC accredited and offers online A-G college preparatory classes. With flexible scheduling options, a variety of class choices, and in-person teacher support, CVVA ensures that Castro Valley students can create a high school experience that fits their needs and prepares them for post-secondary college and career options.

If your student is interested in joining CVVA for the 2025-26 school year, please follow the steps below for enrollment and choosing your student’s classes for next school year.
STEP 1: Please view the provided presentation to familiarize yourself with the CVVA Program.
STEP 2: Meet with your 8th grade Counselor to help complete your Aeries choices. You can choose Full-Time CVVA, Hybrid with 4-5 CVVA and 1-2 CVHS, or Hybrid with 4-5 CVHS and 1-2 CVVA classes. Discuss all these options with your 8th Grade Counselor.
STEP 3: Complete your Aeries choices and submit your Course Request paper to your 8th grade English teacher by Friday, January 31, 2025.
